Therapeutic Taping
Therapeutic taping is a technique where the provider applies a special tape along muscles, ligaments, and tendons to provide a lightweight, external support that helps patients remain active while recovering from injuries. The tape creates a neuromuscular feedback (proprioception) that helps to support the function of muscles and tendons. It also creates a “lifting” effect on the skin, allowing improved circulation to and from the injured area.
I have received additional training through RockTape and am certified FMT Basic and Performance. I enjoy utilizing their brand of tape for my patients.
